Mission Match was created to address a common challenge in the nonprofit sector: finding the right people to support mission-driven work. Many nonprofits need expertise in areas such as governance, finance, marketing, fundraising, technology, human resources, operations, and strategic planning, but may not have the time, resources, or networks to effectively recruit qualified candidates. At the same time, professionals who want to give back often lack a clear pathway to find organizations and opportunities where their experience can make a meaningful contribution.

Mission Match bridges that gap through a searchable network of professionals interested in nonprofit service. Organizations can explore profiles based on skills, expertise, experience, interests, location, availability, and other relevant criteria to identify potential candidates.

When an organization identifies someone who may be a good fit, it can submit a connection request through Mission Match. The professional is notified of the organization’s interest and can decide whether they would like to connect. With mutual interest and consent, Mission Match facilitates the introduction so both parties can explore the opportunity further.

Mission Match does not guarantee placement or make the decision for either party. We make it easier for the right people and organizations to find one another, start the conversation, and determine whether there is a strong mutual fit.

The Process
Search the Volunteer Directory
Organizations using Mission Match have access to a searchable directory of professionals interested in volunteering their skills and expertise. Each profile includes key information such as professional background, areas of expertise, skills, volunteer interests, location, availability, and a brief biography to help you identify potential candidates.

Use the built-in filters to narrow your search by expertise, location, availability, cause area, and other profile details. When you find someone who may be a good fit, simply submit a connection request through Mission Match. We’ll notify the candidate of your organization’s interest and, with their consent, help facilitate the connection so you can begin the conversation.
Access Plans
Mission Match provides nonprofit organizations with access to a growing network of professionals interested in contributing their skills, expertise, and experience to nonprofit organizations.

Organizations can search volunteer profiles based on factors such as professional expertise, skills, experience, areas of interest, location, and availability. When an organization identifies a potential candidate, Mission Match helps facilitate the connection so both parties can determine whether the opportunity is a good fit.
